My Laptop Connects to WiFi but Shows No Internet Access—Help!

I'm living in a shared house with a WiFi setup that includes both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, plus a booster. Everything was working fine until recently when my laptop started showing a "Connected without internet" error. Other devices, like my phone, sometimes connect, albeit unreliably. Now, there's a mysterious new WiFi option called "WiFi 2.4-2.4G-ext" that popped up just after I returned home from the weekend. My laptop only connects to this new network, but not well, and it can't connect to any of the previous networks that used to work. I've already tried rebooting my laptop, resetting network settings, and checking for updates, but nothing seems to help. Anyone have any idea what might be going on?

You could also try resetting your IP configuration. Here’s how: Open Command Prompt as an administrator, type "ipconfig /release" then "ipconfig /renew". It might help get your laptop back on track.

I attempted that, but I kept getting an error about the Local Area Connection being disconnected. Not sure what to do about that.

Have you tried power cycling your modem and router? Sometimes that helps clear up connection issues.

Yeah, I did that, but it didn't really change anything. In fact, I think my phone's connection got worse after!
