I've been having some trouble with my iPad not charging properly, especially now that it's colder outside. To see if it helps, I've placed a polo shirt over the screen. Is that safe to do? The screen itself doesn't heat up when I do this, but I'm wondering if it's a weird workaround or if there's something else going on.

It’s technically safe since iPads charge with cases and covers, but if you're really having to do this, your home might be way too cold for it to charge properly.
How cold are we talking here? If it gets too cold, your iPad might not charge at all, as stated in Apple's support documents. It could be a matter of temperature affecting its performance.
True! You wouldn’t wear just a t-shirt outside in the snow, but if it’s chilly inside your home, it might be affecting the charging too.
You definitely shouldn’t need to dress up your iPad for it to charge! Sounds like there’s a legit issue with yours.

Yeah, it’s chilly but not freezing. My phone charges just fine, so I'm confused about why the iPad isn’t working!
