Should I Start My Project Now or Learn More First?

I'm a 25-year-old student studying music composition in Korea, and I'm really passionate about becoming a composer and developer. I want to create a platform that can automatically extract movement data from videos and render them into 3D audio. I've been studying programming, specifically Python, but I'm struggling to grasp the basics. I've set up a study plan with topics like signal processing and spatial audio, but I'm feeling impatient. Should I just dive into my project even though I don't know much, or should I focus on learning more first? I really appreciate any guidance on how to proceed!

Your idea sounds really ambitious, and while that's great, I think starting small would be more practical. Python might not be the best choice for building a full spatial audio engine. You might want to consider languages like C++. In the meantime, try creating smaller projects, like a simple audio plugin in Reaper. It'll help you understand the scope of your original vision better. Good luck!
