I've been having a frustrating issue with my monitor flickering ever since I upgraded to Windows 11, especially when using Discord. After trying a few suggestions I found online with no luck, I decided to update my BIOS using Dragon Center on my MSI B550 Gaming Edge Wifi motherboard. However, the update got stuck on a black screen for about 30 minutes. Now, there's a red light next to the RAM, and I can't get a display signal. Is my motherboard dead, or is there something I can do to fix this? I was planning to sell it to my brother after building a new PC. Should I just power it off?

First off, it sounds like you might have powered off your system during the BIOS update, which often leads to a bricked motherboard. If your motherboard has a 'flashback' USB port or a dual-bios switch, you could try reflashing the BIOS. It might take a little work, but it's generally fixable. Also, make sure to check your motherboard manual for any error codes associated with that red LED next to your RAM. Sharing your complete specs can help others give better advice too!

I tried updating all my GPU drivers and checked all my cables. I also looked into a known issue with the ene.sys file causing flickering for a lot of users, but I couldn’t find that file. From what I read, if it’s been stuck mid-flash for over 20 minutes, there’s a chance the firmware is corrupt. What do you think?
