I'm using an HP Victus 15 with a RX6500m and R5 5600h, and I've been facing some overheating and stuttering issues since I got it. Initially, I used MX4 thermal paste, but after switching to MX6, I started experiencing constant stuttering. I then tried using a TG Kyrosheet. While the GPU temperature seems fine, the CPU is hitting 102 degrees Celsius according to HWI Portable, and HP Omen shows it reaching between 90-98 degrees. However, when I touch the surface, it feels surprisingly cool, and there are no stutters or FPS drops reported. Hwinfo indicates there's no thermal throttling either. What could be the issue?

Have you looked in the BIOS for any PC health status? Run your laptop a bit to let it heat up, then reboot into the BIOS to see what the CPU temps read there. If they’re still high in BIOS, then it could either be a sensor issue or the CPU genuinely running that hot.
It might be a faulty temperature sensor. If the readings are that high while the laptop feels cool, something's off. You should definitely keep an eye on those temps, though. If it keeps happening, I'd recommend checking the warranty options or considering some repairs to see if anything’s actually wrong with the CPU.
That's interesting. Before I started using the Kyrosheet, the temps were normal even when idle, around 40-45 degrees. But things have changed dramatically since the switch. Do you think the thermal paste could have impacted the sensors?
Unfortunately, the HP Victus 15 doesn't have that BIOS temperature status option. So I'm stuck trying to figure it out with the software tools.
