I updated my AMD GPU drivers, but now my PC crashed and I can't boot into Windows. I'm stuck in an endless 30-minute automatic repair loop, and the system keeps pointing to a log file at D:WINDOWSSystem32LogfilesSrtSrtTrail.txt. I've seen other posts suggesting faulty SSDs, but I find it hard to believe that would happen precisely when updating drivers. I'm getting a Windows USB from a friend soon to try and repair it. Is there anything specific I should watch out for? By the way, I managed to recover to an earlier restore point using the bootable Windows media, so that's a relief!

I had a similar issue, and the fix was to completely reinstall the OS. If you're not seeing any luck with the recovery options, that might be your path to take. Just make sure to back up any important files first.
Have you managed to access the recovery options yet? If you can get to them, try opening the command prompt and check that log file directly. It might give you some clues on what went wrong.

I've already tried some of those steps, but now I’m facing a new error saying the system registry file is missing or corrupt. I did manage to boot into safe mode which gives me a bit of hope! Any advice on what to do next?
