How Should I Properly Populate RAM on an HPE DL380 Gen10 Server?

Hey everyone! I'm new to using HPE servers and recently added some RAM to my HPE DL380 Gen10. I have six RAM sticks and two CPUs, and I'm trying to make sure I installed everything correctly. I placed three RAM sticks in slots 8, 10, and 12 for the right CPU, and also three RAM sticks in the same slots (8, 10, 12) for the left CPU, following the guidelines found in the server cover. Could anyone take a look at my setup and confirm if I did this right? Here's a link to the picture I attached: [https://ibb.co/8LwjcDMf](https://ibb.co/8LwjcDMf). Thanks a lot!

Actually, HPE and other brands typically don’t recommend a three-channel configuration when using dual CPUs. You might need two more sticks of RAM to optimize your configuration. It’s usually either a full set (like 2, 4, 8, 12) to ensure stability. But the rules can vary, so double-check your manual!

Wait, I thought you could actually pull this off? It’s kinda strange that it wouldn't work with Gen11, though.

Does the RAM population rule apply differently when considering one CPU versus two CPUs? I’m trying to grasp it better.
