Hey everyone! I've got a PC with a 3070, paired with an Intel 11400 and 16GB of RAM. I'm considering an upgrade to a 5070 Ti, which I can snag for around 20% off the market price. I'm trying to decide if now is a good time to make the switch, or if I should just hold onto my current setup for a year until I can upgrade everything. Also, would it even be worthwhile to use a 5070 Ti with my current CPU, or would it not make much difference in gaming performance?

Absolutely do it! Just sell your old GPU and upgrade. The 5070 Ti is a big leap forward, although your CPU might hold you back at 1080p in some games. Overall, it would work better for 1440p gaming, so it's a solid move!
If you can grab a 5070 Ti at 20% off, I'd say go for it! I heard a rumor that the 5000 super-series might be canceled due to GDDR7 RAM shortages. If that happens, demand for the 5070 Ti could really spike, potentially making it more expensive later on. Plus, your CPU and GPU aren't permanently connected—in the future, you could always upgrade your CPU and motherboard.
Definitely worth it! I'm currently using an 11400 with a 3080, and while my CPU can be a bottleneck sometimes, it usually handles things pretty well. It really depends on the games you play, though.

Thanks! Which games do you think might run into CPU issues?
