I recently bought a second-hand Asus A15 FA506E laptop and it was running well until about two weeks ago. I've experienced random crashes three times: once while gaming, the second time when the battery was low, and the last time while it was plugged in and idle with just Chrome open. Each crash can be resolved temporarily by allowing the laptop to charge for a few hours, but then I get a BIOS error message saying my FTPM/PSP NV is corrupted or the TPM structure has changed. I usually fix this by resetting FTPM, but after the third crash, I can't get any display at all, no matter what I try. I do feel the CPU heating up even when the screen is off. I've already tried reinstalling the RAM sticks, but that didn't help either. Do you think it could be a battery issue, or is there something worse happening here?

Definitely try a hard reset. Power off the laptop, unplug everything, and hold the power button for about 30 seconds. After that, plug in just the power and see if it boots up. Also, try pressing the FN key along with F8 to switch between display outputs; it’s possible the display is set to a secondary monitor and causing the blank screen.
It sounds like your laptop might have some serious issues. It's definitely worth asking the seller about any prior problems, but keep in mind they might not be honest. You should also test your RAM again, just to be on the safe side. If you're still having issues, I recommend taking it to a repair shop. It could be a motherboard problem, which is more complicated.
I tested the RAM modules individually, but that didn't solve the problem. Since waiting and charging the laptop seemed to fix things temporarily, I started to wonder if the battery itself is the issue. If it's not that, though, I might end up spending more on repairs than just swapping out the battery.

I actually tried that method before, and nothing happened. I really hope it’s not a bigger issue with the laptop.
