Keyboard Issues: Pressing One Key Triggers Another

I recently got a second-hand mechanical keyboard, and I'm facing a frustrating issue. When I press certain keys on the left side, unexpected keys on the right side activate as well. For instance, pressing '1' also registers as '9', pressing 'tab' triggers 'o', hitting 'caps lock' also presses 'k', and even 'shift' activates ';'. It's even sending me back to the previous tab when I press 'ctrl'. Anyone have an idea what might be going on?

You might want to try a factory reset. For most brands, it’s usually Fn + Esc or you can hold Esc while plugging it in. This should clear any weird settings from the previous owner. If that doesn’t solve the issue, then it's likely a hardware problem.

I attempted that, but it didn’t help. Is there a program I can use to remap the keys?

It sounds like your keyboard might have a fault. Have you tried testing it on a different computer? That can help determine if it’s a hardware issue or not.

I did try it on another PC, and it was the same problem. So it seems like it’s definitely the keyboard.
