Hey everyone! I currently have an RTX 5060 Ti with 8GB of memory, and I've just ordered an RTX 5070 with 12GB to replace it. However, I came across a bottleneck calculator that suggested a 31.7% bottleneck at 1080p. Is that something I should be concerned about? Will my games still run smoothly with this setup? I'd really appreciate any genuine advice. Thanks!

Honestly, whoever told you that combo wouldn't work well has it wrong. This setup is perfectly fine! Bottleneck calculators can be pretty misleading. The key is to have a balanced setup, and the 5700X3D works well with the 5070 for gaming. Just focus on what settings and resolutions you plan to play at—it's all about your personal use case.
Yeah, those numbers from bottleneck calculators are often exaggerated. Every build has some level of bottleneck, but it doesn’t usually hinder performance as much as you think. As for your setup, at 1080p, the 5700X3D will be the limiting factor, but that doesn’t mean you can't enjoy smooth gameplay. You’re definitely upgrading from the 5060 Ti!
How does the 5700X3D stack up against newer CPUs for gaming?

So, gameplay in 1080p will still be smooth, right?
