I'm interested in building or buying a PC for gaming and school, but I have no experience with PCs and I'm not sure where to start. I had a mini PC in the past, and it was pretty awful. If anyone could provide insight into what goes into building a PC, I'd really appreciate it! I don't have a lot of spare time to build one, and I've heard that pre-built systems aren't great. My budget is between $500 and $700, and I'm particularly looking for something that can handle games like Forza Horizon 5 and BeamNG, which I've struggled to run before. Thanks for any help!

You might want to look into used PCs on marketplaces if building one feels daunting. Aim for a setup with either an AMD RX 6700 XT or an NVIDIA RTX 3070 GPU along with a Ryzen 5 5600 or an Intel i5 13400F CPU. This combo should handle most games at 1080p on ultra settings!
Do you already have peripheral gear like a keyboard, mouse, monitor, or speakers? If not, you might end up with a very basic setup from the used market, and unfortunately, your budget makes it tough to find a decent pre-built gaming PC right now. If you do have some of those basics, you could put something together, but it might not perform amazingly well.

I have a monitor, speakers, keyboard, and headphones. What do you recommend I aim for within that budget?
