I recently ported my phone number to a new phone (a Motorola Razr 2024) and a different carrier about 20 days ago. Since then, my phone has been unable to send or receive any calls or texts. The support team has gone through extensive troubleshooting, including having me factory reset my phone, but they concluded that it must be a defective device. They sent me a replacement, a Samsung A15 5G, and after transferring my service and number, it still doesn't work. They submitted a ticket regarding the issue over a week ago, but my phone number is still not functional. I'm worried that I won't be able to port my number to a new service since I can't receive any texts or calls on my current phone. Any thoughts on what could be going wrong?

Have you tried using your old phone to see if it still works? It could help isolate the problem a bit more.
It sounds like a SIM card issue. Do you have a different SIM you could try out?
Did you switch carriers for a specific reason? I just got a new Samsung, and all I did was swap my SIM from my old iPhone to the new one without any issues. The SIM usually handles the whole number transfer.

Unfortunately, they added an eSIM to my setup, and it still didn’t work.
