I just installed a Galax 1660 Super and played a match in Hunt Showdown. While gaming, I noticed that my GPU's power consumption is hitting 129W and the GPU rail power is showing 130W in HWInfo. I thought my GPU's maximum power should be around 125W, so I'm a bit worried. Is this power usage safe, or should I be concerned about it using more than the expected limit?

About the '125W max consumption' thing, just know that peak consumption can vary. Stock models can actually peak around 133-134W under load, so it seems like you're in the normal range. Your readings might just be fluctuating based on workload. Just make sure your temp levels are good and you should be fine!
Exactly, many GPUs can handle slightly more than their rated max without issues.
When it comes to power consumption, don’t panic just yet! The GPU rail power you’re seeing could account for the power supplied by the PCIe slot, which can provide 75W on its own. As long as your system is running fine and doesn't shut down unexpectedly, you're likely in the clear. Just keep an eye on your PSU, especially if it's a Corsair VS450. It should handle your GPU without any issues, especially since you stress tested it with Furmark and maxed out at 125W. Everything seems okay!
That's reassuring, thanks for breaking it down! I guess I'll keep monitoring during heavy use.
Good call on the stress test! If it runs fine there, you're probably good to go.
Is your GPU overheating at all? Just a thought!
Nah, everything's cool temp-wise. Just wanted to check on the power.

Got it! So just because it's slightly over doesn't mean it's bad.
