Hey everyone! After being scammed on a previous PC build, a guy from work has offered to build me a new one. Here's the list of components he sent over, and I wanted to get your opinions on whether this deal seems fair and legit:
- AMD RYZEN 7 7800X3D
- 32 GB DDR Corsair RAM
- SAMSUNG 990 EVO PLUS 2 TB
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 TI SUPER WINDFORCE (Refurbished)
- MSI MAG A750BE 750W PSU
- CPU Fan x3
- FRACTAL DESIGN FOCUS G Case
- GIGABYTE B650 Gaming X AX V2 Motherboard
The total he's asking for is $2050. What do you think?

Considering how tough it’s been to find GPUs lately, I’d say you’re not really overpaying. Just last month, my local store was out of stock for quite a while. Also, that price seems reasonable given the current market!
Looks like a great selection of parts to me! Everything seems good quality and priced fairly.
I took a look at the parts, and they seem solid overall! I made a similar list on PCPartPicker, swapping the GPU for a 5070 ti since the 4070 ti Super is a bit higher in price right now. The total came to around $1811, which means you’re not getting ripped off too badly. Check it for yourself! [PCPartPicker List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KDy8C8)
Yeah, but we can't know the exact RAM model he picked out, so it's a decent estimate.
He’s asking $200 for the build, which isn’t too bad. If you’re not building it yourself, charging for labor makes sense. Just make sure you trust the guy this time around!
All those components are legit and I can't see anything outrageous price-wise. Just curious, how did you get scammed by that other guy?
What exact stock were they lacking? I just grabbed a 5080 from my store, and they had a decent variety available.
