I'm curious how everyone stays on top of their messages from different platforms like email, Slack, helpdesk tickets, and other chat applications. I feel like I'm always checking various inboxes and worry about missing important messages. What techniques do you use to ensure nothing slips through the cracks?

Marking emails as unread if I need to act on them later is key for me. It serves as a reminder that there’s still work to do. And yeah, if there’s no ticket, there’s no urgency—no exceptions!
I mostly ignore everything unless it's a ticket or an email. If it's important, people can come talk to me, but honestly, I prefer them to just submit a ticket. Less chaos that way!
I keep it simple: if there’s no ticket, I act like it doesn’t exist. If someone asks why I haven’t replied, I just ask for a ticket number. My boss and the CEO don't need to worry about this since they follow the process well. It's all about enforcing the system from the top.
You really need to set clear communication methods. I tell people that phone calls are for emergencies, and everything else should come through tickets. It helps everyone know how to reach me correctly.
I've disabled all notifications everywhere and just keep Teams and Outlook open on one screen. I check them periodically between tasks to maintain my focus. I don't jump on new conversations immediately, which really boosts my productivity.

Same here! I really just want my quiet time to get my work done without interruptions.
