I'm currently using a 10900K system with 32GB of RAM and a 4K monitor, but I often run things in 1080p. I've been considering whether it makes sense to upgrade from my 3070 Ti to a 5080, which is priced at $999, or if I should stick with a 5070 Ti that's around $840. What do you all think?

If you're planning to use your monitor at 4K, definitely go for the 5080 paired with your 10900K. You'll really appreciate the performance boost at that resolution. But if you're aiming for a more balanced setup for 1440p gaming, the 5070 paired with an i7 12700K would be a solid choice.
I saw the 5070 Ti is actually $749 on Newegg, not $840 as mentioned. Why the discrepancy?
It might be $720 with a rebate right now! Honestly, anyone jumping to the 5080 just because the number is higher could be making a mistake.
For the PNY model, I noticed the Plus version with the bigger cooler is $860 on Amazon, but the regular one is $750 on Newegg. The cooler can be a good investment if you're running intensive games.

Just make sure your RAM is DDR5 at 6000 MHz for the best results!
