I found a 2 TB OWC Aura Pro SSD and I'm curious if I can use it with my Windows laptop by putting it in an external case. Will it work, or are there any specific steps I need to follow?

If it's an NVMe SSD, you can definitely use it. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to read APFS volumes on your Windows laptop without additional software. If you don't want to bother with software, it’s best to format the drive to exFAT before putting your data back on it. That way, it’ll be more compatible with both systems!

Just a heads up, with the size of the SSD, it's typically better to use NTFS format for larger files.

You can't use RAM in that way, but since you're talking about an SSD, that's definitely a different story! Just make sure it’s properly formatted for Windows after you connect it, and you should be good to go!

Thanks! So I just buy the external case, connect it, and then format it?
