Why can’t I see my WiFi driver files on my new PC’s USB?

I'm setting up Windows 11 on my new PC and I'm stuck because I need to install the WiFi driver to get past the 'Let's connect you to a network' screen, which doesn't allow me to skip. I've downloaded the driver for my AORUS B650 Elite AX and put it in a folder on my USB drive. However, when I plug the USB into my new PC, that folder appears empty as if the files are missing. I've tried everything: reformatting the USB, extracting the files again, and even putting other files in there, but nothing seems to show up. Can anyone offer some advice?

You might want to try using a command prompt workaround. If you press Shift+F10 when you're at the setup screen, you can type in 'oobe\bypassnro' and hit enter. This should reboot the machine and allow you to choose 'I don't have internet'. From there, you can get to the desktop and install the driver normally. This usually helps unless you're using the latest Windows ISO, then it might not work.

I attempted that but I couldn't type anything in the command prompt for some reason.

Have you tried connecting your PC to the internet via Ethernet? Sometimes it's easier to just download the driver directly onto the PC instead of fussing with the USB. That worked for me when I had a similar issue!

I wish! The router is in another room, and my Ethernet cable isn't functioning.

Are you making sure to eject the USB properly after transferring the files? If you just pull it out without ejecting, it might not save everything correctly, which could explain why the folder looks empty.

Yes, I did eject it correctly, but I still run into the same issue.
