I've been experiencing an issue where my SSD usage spikes to 100% for seemingly no reason. This can happen during startup, while trying to download or update programs, or it might just happen randomly. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all, but when it does, my PC becomes extremely sluggish and almost unusable. I've checked the SSD health, updated the firmware, and even visually inspected it, but nothing seems off. I don't think it's a virus since I haven't downloaded anything suspicious. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this?

If you suspect malware could be an issue, consider running a malware scan to rule that out. It might not seem relevant, but it's a good first step. If that checks out, you might want to dive deeper into your processes to see if something's hogging the disk.
It sounds frustrating! Also, make sure you’re not running too many background applications. Sometimes, even if they seem benign, they can cause unexpected disk usage spikes.
First off, do you know the model of your SSD? Sometimes specific models can have issues that are known within the community. Also, have you made sure all your drivers are up to date? I faced something similar with my Crucial P3, and updating the drivers helped a lot.
