Hey everyone! I'm planning to treat myself to a new PC for Christmas, but I'm honestly a bit lost on where to begin. Right now, I'm using an old PC I got from a friend, which has a GTX 1060 3GB and an i5-8400—just your basic entry-level setup. I'm aiming for something that can handle simple 1440p gaming at 60fps, like Fortnite, nothing too over the top. I'm curious if anyone has suggestions for good, budget-friendly pre-built options. I'm not totally against building my own, but with college coming up soon, I want to make sure I have a working PC ready for my sibling to use. Any pointers would be awesome! Thanks in advance!

What are the full specs of your current setup and what's your budget like? Costco usually has some decent pre-builts at fair prices!
I can't speak much on pre-builts, but I’m working on my first build right now. I’m aiming for good 1440p performance on high to ultra settings. Check out my list for some inspiration: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ryRDGJ
Just a heads up, that build comes in around $1500, which might be a bit over your budget.
You might want to check out NZXT's pre-built PCs; they've got a solid reputation and offer some good options. Definitely worth looking into!
I looked into NZXT, and their setups don’t seem bad at all. Thanks for the tip!
Don't forget to set a clear budget; that’ll help narrow down your options!

My current specs are i5-8400, GTX 1060 3GB, B360M Bazooka motherboard, 8GB DDR4, 112GB SSD, and 992GB HDD. I'm aiming for under a grand and noticed NZXT has one for $749, so I'm hoping to find something that beats that!
