Issues with APC PowerChute after Battery Replacement

I'm using an APC BRG 1500 at a remote office where I replaced the battery in 2019. I updated the battery replacement date in the legacy version of PowerChute, which worked fine. Recently, I switched to the new web-based version of the software, which seems to offer the same functionality. I ordered an official replacement battery, and while I can change the replacement date within the PowerChute software, running a self-test fails, indicating that the battery needs to be replaced. Is it possible I received a faulty battery? I've done some research and found this is a common issue, with suggestions that altering a registry key might help, but I can't find the relevant registry folders since they were based on the old software. At another site, the legacy software accepted my battery replacement changes and passed the self-test without any problems. Has anyone else experienced similar issues?

You might want to check the Logging tab in the PowerChute software. It could give you more details about the self-test failures and any other relevant warnings.

From what I see in your logs, it looks like the UPS has been recognizing the battery change but still failing the self-test. It could definitely be a bad battery, but checking the charge level after some time might be useful too.

How long has the new battery been installed? Sometimes these batteries take about 24 hours to charge fully before a self-test passes successfully.
