I'm looking to upgrade my current PC setup to play demanding AAA games like Cyberpunk 2077, upcoming GTA 6, Battlefield 6, Elden Ring, and Red Dead Redemption 2 on ultra settings. I'm weighing my options on whether I should upgrade specific parts of my current system or if it's better to just buy a new PC entirely. Here are my current specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (4.2 GHz boost)
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (4 GB, Gigabyte)
- RAM: 8 GB DDR4 2400 MHz (2x4 GB) – Kingston HyperX
- SSD: Samsung 990 Pro NVMe M.2 (2 TB)
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B550M S2H (mATX, 1 M.2 slot, BIOS F12)
- PSU: Gigabyte P550B (550 W, 80+ Bronze)
- CPU Cooling: Stock Wraith Stealth
- Monitor: Lenovo G25-10 (1080p @ 60 Hz)
- Case: GameMax Expedition Black (mATX)
- OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
My budget is between 1000-1300€.

Honestly, you have a couple of good options. Your weakest link is definitely the GPU and RAM. For solid performance, I recommend upgrading to a good power supply (750-850W), which is around €100. Then look into something like a 9060 XT (16GB) or a 5060 Ti (16GB) for about €350-450. If you keep your motherboard, stick to AM4 chips like the 5600 or 5800X, and bump your RAM to 32GB at 3200 or 3600MHz for best performance. Think about whether you want to transition to AM5, which would allow for faster CPUs but at a higher cost.

Thanks! How many FPS can I expect on ultra settings for Cyberpunk 2077 with those upgrades? And will I be set for upgrades for a few years, only needing to upgrade the GPU later on?
