Getting Help with My Intel i9 CPU Crashes

I recently purchased a prebuilt PC featuring the Intel i9 14900KF CPU, but I've been experiencing a lot of crashes. Turns out there have been issues with this CPU since at least mid last year, and I wish I'd done more research before buying it. I'm really frustrated: why was I sold this faulty product? Also, how can I go about fixing these crashes? I've read that underclocking might help, but honestly, that feels like an unacceptable solution. If that's the only fix, please advise on the best approach to underclocking. Either way, I'm really angry and might steer clear of Intel completely from now on.

Definitely ensure your BIOS is updated first. Intel has provided new coding to help with these types of issues. Also, considering undervolting can stabilize things, but keep in mind it typically takes a bit of heavy use for any damage to start showing.

You might want to check if your BIOS is up to date. There was a fix released last fall that should help with the crashing issues. Also, if you're still facing problems after that, reaching out to your PC's manufacturer could be a good idea.

I'd be cautious about saying you'd avoid all Intel products. They have some cool things on the horizon, like the Celestial GPUs and new Battlemage GPUs. The Arrow Lake refresh might not inspire confidence, but I’m curious to see how their next chips perform with the LHA1954 socket.
