Can repair shops help with removing ants from my laptop?

I have an ROG Zephyrus G14 that has some ants and their colony inside. There were definitely more before, but I still see a few. I'm considering getting it cleaned but I'm not sure if repair shops would actually take on the task of removing the ants and cleaning up the laptop. Has anyone had experience with this?

Honestly, if I were running a shop, I wouldn't handle that without some kind of protocol to fumigate it first. I'd be too worried about contamination.

You might actually want to try cleaning it yourself first. You can open up your laptop and carefully vacuum the ants out with a hose attachment. If that's not an option, you could seal it in a bag for about a week, which would kill the ants, but you'll still need to clean it manually afterward. Just make sure to never turn it on while it's still infested!

Another option could be to seal your laptop in a plastic bag and put it in the freezer for a day or two. That should take care of the ants, but you still need to clean things up after.

I doubt most repair shops would want to deal with that kind of infestation. When I did repairs on the side, I always worried about getting an infested system dropped off. It's probably best to check with a specific shop, but be prepared for them to say no or charge extra if they do take it on.
