Can I swap SSDs between Linux and Windows without damaging my laptop?

I've been an avid Manjaro user in the past, but now I'm trying out Endeavour. I recently got a new Windows laptop and honestly, Windows 11 is pretty disappointing compared to 10. The catch is, my laptop only has one M.2 slot, but I still need Windows for work and family stuff at various times. My question is, can I buy an additional SSD, install Endeavour on it, and swap between the two SSDs as needed? I'm a bit worried about the endurance of the M.2 slot with all that constant swapping. I plan on getting a dedicated work laptop eventually, but for now, I want to know if this setup is feasible or if anyone has insights from their experiences. Thanks!

Another option is to grab a 2TB M.2 NVMe drive for around $130 and partition it for both Windows and Linux. It could make your setup much easier in the long run!

That sounds like a good plan! I'll check it out, thanks!

You might want to check out USB hubs—some come with four or six slots. That could solve your port issue. 😏

That's a solid point! I’ll definitely look into getting a hub.

You could definitely buy an external SSD to run your Linux distro; it's a flexible solution. This way, you can easily boot into either Linux or Windows depending on what you need at the moment.

I considered that but I'm worried about my ports. Right now I've got one USB-A port occupied by a hub for my mouse and keyboard, plus two Thunderbolt ports—one's for my second display and the other is for power.
