I accidentally spilled some Coke on my ASUS TUF DASH F15's keyboard. Right away, I unplugged it and did a forced shutdown, then wiped it down with a cloth. Now, it's placed keyboard-side down on a towel. I've read online that I should wait 48 hours to let it dry before taking it to a repair shop, but I'm not sure what kind of damage might have happened since it's off. Any advice on what steps I should take or if there are any specific concerns related to my laptop model would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, everyone!

The phosphoric acid in Coke can really damage your laptop's internals. Letting it dry isn't the solution. You might want to get it cleaned professionally as soon as you can to prevent further damage.
You can use baking soda to neutralize the acid. Just sprinkle some on the keyboard, let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, and then wipe it away with a damp cloth. After that, check under a couple of keys to see if any Coke got stuck underneath. If it did, consider taking it to a pro for a deeper clean.
If you can, try to remove the battery and disassemble the laptop for a thorough clean. It's better to address the spill directly than to leave it to sit. Wait too long, and the damage might set in.
