Is My 750W Power Supply Sufficient for My 5070 Graphics Card?

I have a 750W power supply unit (PSU) and a 5070 graphics card, but I had to get a 16-pin adapter for the 5070 that can only handle 600W. I might be overreacting, but is this setup okay?

Yes, your 750W PSU is definitely more than enough for your graphics card setup.

Thanks!

That 600W rating is just the maximum for the connector. You could even power a 5090 with that adapter. It’s perfectly fine for the 5070 you have.

Thanks, not very experienced with graphics cards so my head's spinning a bit haha.

You're not overreacting, just a bit confused. The adapter can handle 600W itself, specifically for the GPU, but your PSU is still capable of delivering 750W overall. All of that power is distributed to your GPU, motherboard, CPU, etc. The 5070 shouldn't draw more than 250W on its own, so that adapter is actually only going to use about half of its rated capacity.

Oh right, I think I get you. Thanks for the help!
