Last night while using Task Manager, I received a pop-up message saying that "Windows will no longer function properly if you end this task". I decided to ignore it, and everything worked fine until I turned in for the night. However, when I tried to start my PC this morning, it only displays a black screen. I've attempted restarting multiple times, and I came across suggestions involving the PSU switch, but I'm unsure about that. Any advice would be really appreciated, as this computer means a lot to me right now!

First off, check if the power light on your monitor is on. Try switching the ends of your HDMI/DisplayPort cable or see if there’s another port on your graphics card. Make sure you’re connected to the GPU, not the motherboard. Also, if possible, connect a different display or even a TV to your PC to see if the issue is with your monitor. Finally, listen for any Windows sounds—if you turn the PC on and wait for about 30 seconds, you can press Win + Ctrl + Shift + B blindly to reset the graphics driver. If you hear a beep or see a flicker, your system might be running but just not displaying properly.

Thanks for the tips! Just to clarify, I'm definitely plugged into the GPU now, but the monitor is working fine with my Xbox. I also tried a second monitor with the same HDMI cable, and that worked too. Still no flicker after trying your suggested method.
