I've been experiencing random shutdowns on my computer, and upon checking the Windows Event Viewer, I found a concerning error: 'Pre-attestation health checks confirm a critical component has failed, and the device is not expected to pass attestation' with Event ID 1040. I'm puzzled whether this could be a Windows issue or something related to hardware. I've stress-tested the GPU and CPU with no issues, and temperatures have been stable. The Windows memory checker also passed fine. I noticed the shutdown happened while I was playing Roblox. Any insights or suggestions would be really helpful! Here are my specs: ASRock B450M Pro4, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT 12GB GDDR6, PNY 32GB (2x16GB) XLR8 Gaming EPIC-X RGB™ DDR4 3600MHz.

You might want to check if you're using firmware TPM (fTPM). Go into your BIOS settings, find the Security or Trusted Computing options, and see if it lists AMD fTPM or Intel PTT. If it shows dTPM, that means you're using a hardware chip. Also, make sure to update your motherboard's BIOS to the latest version, as that can solve a lot of issues.

I'll check that tonight and let you know what I find. There are actually some beta BIOS versions available since my current one. Do you think I should go for one of those?
