I'm looking to upgrade my system with some RAM and have an Asus ProArt X870E motherboard paired with a 9900x CPU. Asus lists the F5-6000J3036F48GX2-FX5 RAM on their Qualified Vendor List (QVL), but unfortunately, I can't find that specific model where I live. However, I do have access to the F5-6000J3036F48GX2-RS5K version, which has an XMP profile. If I go with the XMP variant, is there anything specific I need to do to make it work like the FX5 model? Thanks for the help!

Remember, the QVL is really just a list of RAM kits officially tested with your motherboard. If your RAM isn't on it, it doesn't automatically mean it won't work—it just hasn't been tested by Asus. So, it should be fine!
Yeah, that RAM should definitely work! Most AMD motherboards can recognize the XMP profile and apply it without issues. Just make sure to enable the XMP option in your BIOS after installing it.

Thanks for the info! Will I see EXPO mentioned in the BIOS settings with this RAM? Just curious.
