What to Do After Losing Recovery Keys on Windows 11?

I've got Windows 11 on my machine, but I've found myself in a bit of a mess after deleting my recovery keys. I did this while attempting to set up ChromeOS Flex, which mentioned an issue linked to those keys. Now, I can't boot into Windows. I've also got a thumb drive prepared to reinstall Windows if that turns out to be necessary. Any advice on what steps I should take next?

Just a heads-up: whenever you’re making changes like this, it’s always a good idea to check your backups first. ABC's FAQ can give you some extra guidance on dealing with problems on Windows 11. Not having the keys means actual recovery isn't going to be possible, but a fresh install is an option if you prepare your thumb drive.

It sounds like you’re in a tricky situation. Unfortunately, without those recovery keys, you're likely going to have to wipe the drive to start fresh. Just make sure to back up any data if you can, though that might be hard without another PC. A clean install could be your best way forward.
