Hey everyone, my hard drive suddenly stopped showing up on my laptop. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the SATA cable, but it still doesn't appear in Disk Manager or anywhere else. Does anyone have any ideas on how to troubleshoot this issue?

When you plug the HDD in, do you hear any clicking or movement? If it's totally silent, it might be completely dead.
First things first, check your BIOS. If the HDD isn’t detected there, it might indicate a hardware issue, either with the drive itself or possibly the motherboard, ports, or cables.
Just a heads up, sometimes a Windows update can mess with hardware detection. It might be worth checking for any recent updates or rolling back if you think that could be the cause.
