I'm encountering a frustrating issue with Easy Anti Cheat that's giving me the error code 30005. This problem popped up unexpectedly, and I'm not sure what's causing it. The official website suggests checking if my antivirus might be blocking it, but I'm only using Windows Defender, and there's no additional antivirus software installed. I also had a Windows update earlier but can't find any other problems. I've tried restarting my PC as recommended, but that didn't help at all. Any suggestions on what else I can do?

Another thing you could do is to verify the integrity of your game files through the game launcher. Sometimes, corrupted files can lead to issues with anti-cheat measures.
You might want to disable the Windows Firewall temporarily and see if that resolves the issue. Sometimes it can interfere with applications like Easy Anti Cheat. Just make sure to turn it back on after testing!
Excluding Easy Anti Cheat from Windows Defender might help. Have you tried that yet? It didn't work for me, but it's worth checking.

Is it safe to disable the firewall? Wouldn't that make my PC more vulnerable?
