Hey everyone! I've noticed some information online suggesting that my 3070 Ti might be bottlenecking my Intel i7-10700K CPU. I mainly play FPS shooters and a few single-player story games, plus I enjoy streaming. I'm curious to know if I should upgrade my CPU and, if so, what would be the best option? Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!

The term 'bottleneck' isn't always useful. Each part of your PC is tailored for specific tasks. If you're playing a graphics-intensive game, then yes, your GPU could be the limiting factor. The main thing is to check if your setup is performing to your expectations. If you're not seeing issues, it might be just fine as it is!
There's always going to be a bottleneck in a PC setup: one component will often limit performance. Instead of worrying too much about the bottleneck, think about whether your PC is meeting your needs. If it's performing well for your games and streaming, you might want to consider putting your upgrade funds towards other enhancements instead.
Well, if you're really keen on upgrading, you'll want to look at something like the 7800X3D or 9800X3D, especially if it's for gaming. But just to clarify, I noticed you mentioned a 7700K – is that what you meant to say? Because upgrading from the 10700K might require a new CPU, motherboard, and RAM too. Do you have a budget in mind?
Just to clarify, I accidentally typed 7700K instead of 10700K. My bad!

I live about 30 minutes from a Micro Center, so I should have access to some good deals. I didn't even realize I might need to upgrade all those parts, though! Ha!
