Hi folks, I'm having trouble with my new AM5 setup and I'm hoping you can help me troubleshoot. Here's what I've got:

- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D
- **Motherboard**: MSI X870E Gaming Plus WiFi
- **RAM**: Sillicon Power Zenith 64GB (2X 32GB) DDR5 CL30 6000MHz
- **GPU**: PNY RTX 5080
- **CPU Cooler**: Lian Li Galahad II LCD 360 AIO (not installed yet)
- **PSU**: Silverstone Strider 850W 80+ Platinum

**The Issue**: I wanted to test my build using just the CPU, RAM, and SSD before I added the cooler and fans. However, when I power it on, both the CPU debug LED (red) and DRAM debug LED (orange) remain lit.

I've tried booting with just one stick of RAM in DIMMA2 and alternating between DIMMA2 and DIMMB2, but no luck. I also attempted to update the BIOS via BIOS Flashback, but the same error persists.

I've tested it with and without the GPU installed, but the fans are spinning, and there's still no POST or display with the same LED indicators on. By the way, the CPU feels cool to the touch. Do I need to install the CPU cooler for it to post?

Hi, the same thing happened to me tonight. Exactly it, my computer crashed and since then it doesn't even boot into bios. Pulling out the RAM, graphics card, and system disk didn't help. I just read an article by another user with a similar problem that didn't work out and went back to Am4. Let me know how you progress, please, I will write too.

Did you plug in both CPU power cables at the top left of the motherboard? Check if the BIOS flash went successfully. You should see it flashing for several minutes. If the CPU and RAM debug LEDs are still on after you flash BIOS, you might still be facing a boot issue.

Yes, the CPU power cables are connected. The BIOS flash lasted about 5-8 minutes, but the CPU and RAM debug LEDs have remained on before and after the flash. I powered it off and tried to boot again, but no change.

Make sure you're giving it enough time to POST, especially with DDR5—it can take a while to train. Also, try resetting the CMOS and see if that helps.
