I'm in the process of building my first PC along with my partner and I need some help finding a good monitor. I'm looking for something that's reasonably priced, ideally between 32 to 34 inches, with a refresh rate between 180Hz to 240Hz and at least 1440p resolution or higher. I enjoy playing games like Overwatch, Stardew Valley, and cafe simulation games. I have played Apex Legends and The Sims 4 in the past too. I'm still figuring out other components for the PC build, but I want some brand recommendations for monitors and would love to know what's popular right now. I'd like to keep it under £450. Thanks a bunch!

I have the Philips Evnia 34M2C6500AM. It's a 34-inch QHD monitor with an OLED panel and HDR, running at 175Hz and an incredibly low response time of 0.03ms. Honestly, the picture quality is stunning, especially with HDR. I bought it for around €600 (about £510), but for your price range, it might be tough to find something that looks as good as this. Just a heads up, if you're gaming at 1440p, it can be tricky to hit 240 FPS consistently unless you have a high-end rig. For the games you mentioned, like Stardew or The Sims, a 240Hz monitor probably isn't necessary since those games don’t really benefit from such high refresh rates!
Check out the Philips Evnia 34M2C6500 if you're after a larger screen! It’s got a 34-inch size, 3440 x 1440 resolution, and a 175Hz refresh rate. If you'd prefer something with a higher refresh rate, the Philips Evnia 8000 series has a 27-inch option that's 2560 x 1440 with a crazy 360Hz! Both are great options depending on your priorities.
