I'm using a Samsung T7 Shield SSD with my iPhone 17 Pro, and it used to work great with my iPad and another iPhone (the iPhone 16e). However, now it isn't showing up in the Files app at all. It's formatted in exFAT, and I'm using the USB-C to USB-C cable that came with the SSD. I also tried using a USB-A cable with an adapter, but it still doesn't appear. Can anyone help me out?

It sounds like you might need a powered USB hub. The T7 Shield requires more power than the iPhone 17 Pro can provide on its own. You were lucky with the iPhone 16e, but the newer models might not deliver enough power for the SSD to show up.
But why wouldn't it work with my iPad Air then?
