I'm struggling with severe lag on my PC even when I'm not doing anything intensive. It feels like the mouse cursor is lagging, and sometimes my keyboard inputs are duplicated. Everything I open stutters, even though the GPU, CPU, and memory usage seem normal while the temperatures are below 70 degrees. I ran a Latency Mon check and it showed some unusually high spikes.
Here are my specs:
- **OS**: Windows 11 Home 64-Bit
- **BIOS**: American Megatrends Inc. 3287 (20/09/2025)
- **GPU**: AMD Radeon 7800 XT
- **Motherboard**: ASRock Prime B650M-A WIFI-II
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6 Core
- **SSD**: TEAM TM8FPD002T
- **RAM**: 32GB
- **Monitor**: Acer ED270U P2
I've already tried a clean install of Windows, reinstalling drivers, changing settings, and even disabling features like HDR and FreeSync, but nothing has helped. I'm really stuck here and would appreciate any advice on what I can do to fix this issue!

Have you figured out when the lag started? Did it begin right after the clean install or after you installed certain drivers? Sometimes specific updates can mess things up, so it’s good to narrow that down.
Check the Event Viewer for any errors that come up when you're experiencing lag. Also, Latency Mon mentioned audio issues, so go to Control Panel > Sound > Speakers, and try disabling exclusive mode, as well as any enhancements. Restart afterward to see if that helps.
Have you considered clearing your BIOS? Sometimes weird settings, like XMP profiles, can cause issues. Just resetting them to default might do the trick.
You might want to try switching to a different network driver, or even just disable the network adapter in the BIOS to see if that improves the situation. It’s worth a shot!

Thanks for the response! I did a clean install because of the lag, and it was there from the start, just not as bad. I thought I could play games like Elden Ring without issues at first, but after trying Dota again last week, the lag became unbearable.
