I recently found out that my PC is suffering from terrible latency, which is really impacting my gaming experience. My router is in a separate room, and I don't want to run a long Ethernet cable throughout my house. I was advised to buy a wireless bridge, thinking it might act like a wireless Ethernet cable. However, I'm not sure if that's the best solution for extending my Wi-Fi signal. Can someone explain my options in simple terms? Thanks!

Honestly, a device like the one you linked won’t really solve your problem since it’ll just amplify the already weak Wi-Fi signal your computer gets. The best move is to stick with getting a straight Ethernet connection. If you have coaxial cables in your house for cable TV, MOCA adapters might also be a good option for connecting to your router without additional wiring. Alternatively, you could go with a strong mesh Wi-Fi setup to help with coverage, just be mindful that it might add a slight latency.
Running an Ethernet cable is definitely the best option if you want to minimize latency while gaming. If that's not feasible, you could try a few alternatives. The device you mentioned can work as a wireless repeater, but its effectiveness is often limited and might not reduce latency much at all. Consider using powerline adapters if you have good wiring in your home, or even getting a mesh Wi-Fi system with additional nodes to improve your signal strength throughout the house.

Are there specific mesh Wi-Fi systems you would recommend?
