I'm in the market for a new SSD after my last one failed on me in just three months. I'm looking for suggestions on reliable budget options, specifically models suitable for gaming rather than a boot drive. Here are a few I've come across: Kingston A400, Teamgroup cx2, Teamgroup Vulcan, Teamgroup gx2, Adata su650, and Crucial bx500. I'd appreciate any insights or recommendations!

The Teamgroup Vulcan is a solid choice for a gaming library. It should perform well for what you need it for!
All these options are budget SATA 2.5" SSDs without DRAM cache, which means they'll perform similarly. Just keep in mind they can slow down a bit once the SLC cache is used up or if they get close to full. If you're looking for a better option, consider the Samsung 870 Evo if you can stretch your budget a bit as it’s the only mainstream SATA still with DRAM.
I wouldn’t recommend any of those options personally. I’m curious, how did your last SSD fail within three months?
I’ve had a good experience with the Teamgroup Vulcan too. It does its job, but bear in mind it’s not as quick as an M.2. If you're set on 2.5", it’s a decent pick. Just make sure you’re okay with the speed trade-off!

It was a cheap knockoff Chinese SSD with minimal info about it, so I guess that’s on me. What do you suggest instead?
