I wasn't planning to upgrade my motherboard or CPU until the AM6 socket came out, but my ASROCK B550M Pro4 motherboard, which is only two years old, just died. I took it to a local tech shop, and they confirmed it's gone. Thankfully, my GPU, which I bought just two weeks ago, seems fine. Now, I'm looking at two options: the MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI for $329 and the MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI for $260. Given the brand reliability, reviews, and prices, I'm wondering if spending an extra $70 on the Tomahawk is worth it, or should I save that money for upgrading my CPU instead?

Honestly, $329 seems a bit high for a motherboard. Have you considered looking into the B850 Tomahawk? It’s got great reviews for gaming and is around $220 where I am! Of course, Australian prices can be a bit different, so it might be worth checking local options.
Yeah, the B850 Tomahawk is a solid choice, but sadly here in Australia, it’s priced at about $435 AUD, which is a bit steep. I would suggest weighing the extra features of the Tomahawk against what you really need right now.
Have you checked your ASRock's warranty? Most of them are usually around three years. If yours is still under warranty, just get it replaced rather than shelling out for a new motherboard right now!
I actually think it was a two-year warranty and it expired last month, but I'll reach out to the retailer to confirm.
