I'm building a gaming rig and my budget is around $1300 to $1400. I found a 9070 XT for $600 and a 5070 for $480. Considering that RAM prices are expected to stay high, which GPU should I choose for the best long-term value?

Definitely go for the 9070 XT! It's much faster and has more VRAM, which is really important for gaming. Plus, you won't have to worry about the melting power connectors that some of the cheaper models have—unless you pick up the Nitro or Taichi, which aren’t the best choices anyway.

I'm all in for the 9070 XT. The 5070 just doesn’t hold up as a long-term investment with only 12 GB of VRAM and some reliability issues with its power connector. It also has lower resale value after some time. Sure, Nvidia offers cool features like DLSS, but they don't outweigh the drawbacks in my opinion.

Check out Microcenter; they sometimes have the 9070 XT priced below MSRP. If you can make that work, would be worth it!

If you can swing it financially, go for the 9070 XT. You’ll get way more for your money, especially since the pricing isn't too shaky. Just keep an eye on your CPU choice too; it can affect your overall setup.

The 9070 XT is a solid pick since 16 GB of VRAM is really the minimum you want for modern gaming. If you're planning to play at high settings or 4K, the 9070 XT will give you the performance boost you need.

Thanks for the tip! That definitely makes me lean more towards the 9070 XT.
