I'm searching for a solution to send SMS messages to Microsoft Teams channels in the UK. It seems that while Teams can handle SMS natively, this feature is currently only available in the US. I need this functionality for specific situations where we require codes sent to a shared Teams chat instead of individual mobile phones. This is important especially when someone is on annual leave, so it ensures the codes go to a common location. I'm using this for cases like Apple Business Manager, which doesn't support OTP or modern MFA yet (we utilize proper MFA for everything else). Any recommendations or warnings would be greatly appreciated!

We're using esendex for our text-to-email services, and we've also had good experiences with textmarketer. They both allow you to buy a UK long code number, which you can then link to your Teams channel's email address to forward messages. Might be worth checking out!
You might want to try using Power Automate. You can set up a connector that triggers on an SMS receipt, and then sends that message to your Teams channel. It might take some effort to set up the SMS service initially, but it could work well for your use case!
Sounds good! I'm more interested in the part that actually receives the SMS in the first place.
If you're looking for an alternative, have you considered using email instead of SMS? Teams channels do have unique email addresses, so you could post updates that way. Just a thought!
I see your point, but sometimes those systems absolutely require an SMS for backup verification, and I can't use a personal number for that.

Awesome, thanks! I'll definitely look into that.
