I just put together parts for my first PC build, but I'm starting to wonder if I'll run into clearance problems with my RAM and the Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120. Considering the current pricing and availability of RAM, I think it might make sense to explore alternative air coolers. I'd really appreciate any recommendations or advice!

I faced a similar issue and resolved it just by raising the fan high enough to bypass the RAM. It worked like a charm!
If you want to stick with your cooler, you can try mounting the front fan a bit higher on the Phantom Spirit—this won’t really affect cooling performance much at all. If you’re leaning towards a new cooler, check out the Royal Knight; it’s a solid option!
That’s what I did, and my 9800x3d hits around 63°C even at max load.

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely check out the Royal Knight.
