I recently bought a PC and I've been using it to game on my TV. However, after about two hours of playing, the TV just turned off and won't power back on. I suspect that the TV might be old (over 10 years), but I'm wondering if it's even possible for my PC to cause any damage to it. It sounds a bit ridiculous, but I'm not really knowledgeable about electronics, so I wanted to get some opinions.

If you're wondering why it failed, it might just be an old model. I've used PCs with TVs for years and never encountered damage. Your TV just might be reaching its limits.

It could only happen if you literally threw your PC at the TV. Otherwise, I wouldn’t worry about it damaging your TV.
About that 'too good for TV' idea, nope! That's definitely a case of correlation not equaling causation. Your TV probably just died on its own.
There's really no way that just connecting your PC to the TV could physically break it. It sounds like your TV might just have reached the end of its lifespan.
