After some recent Microsoft updates, I've been facing issues with file previews. Now, whenever I try to preview a file, I get a warning message saying, 'the file you're attempting to preview could harm your computer. If you trust the file, open it to view its contents.' My IT department claims there's no workaround and that this change comes from Microsoft. Is this true? Has anyone figured out a way to bypass this? Not being able to preview files is really messing with my workflow!

Honestly, I find it easier to just download the files first and open them directly instead of dealing with previews. It’s simple and gets the job done without the warning pop-ups.
Your IT department definitely should have addressed this issue earlier since it is a security concern. Unfortunately, there’s no official workaround for this warning, but a workaround you can try is unblocking the files. You can create a batch file that can help you unblock files automatically after you download them, or schedule it to run regularly. It's a bit of a hack though, so use it wisely.
I think your IT is right about there not being a workaround. These changes from Microsoft are meant to protect users, even if it is inconvenient.
