I'm on the hunt for the top-rated 1000W power supply unit (PSU) for my upcoming high-end PC build, which will cost around $6000 CAD. I've come across some lab result charts online, but many of the recommended PSUs are discontinued, like the Corsair AX1000. I really want to ensure I get a reliable PSU, so any suggestions for the best available options in 2025 would be greatly appreciated!

Check out this other PSU tier list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1akCHL7Vhzk_EhrpIGkz8zTEvYfLDcaSpZRB6Xt6JWkc/htmlview?gid=1973454078#gid=1973454078. Look for the cheapest unit rated A on the list; it's usually a good bet!
You can also check out the Cybenetics PSU performance database. They list a ton of brands and models, including some you might not have heard of, like the Hydro Ti Pro 1000W by FSP Technology. They might just surprise you!
Absolutely! If it's from Cybenetics, you can bet it's reliable.
You should check out this spreadsheet that includes a list of the best PSUs: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1akCHL7Vhzk_EhrpIGkz8zTEvYfLDcaSpZRB6Xt6JWkc/edit?gid=1973454078#gid=1973454078.
Just a note, the list doesn't specify if the PSUs are ATX 3.0 or ATX 3.1. I'm planning to use a 5090 GPU, so I need to make sure it's ATX 3.1 compatible.
My go-tos for PSUs are Bequiet and Seasonic. Both brands have a solid reputation and should serve you well.
FSP Technology has been around for ages! Just because you've never heard of them doesn't mean they aren't good. If Cybenetics rates it highly, it's worth considering.
