Why Can’t I Find the TPM Option in My BIOS Settings?

I've been trying to enable TPM on my PC but haven't had any luck. I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to this stuff. I've followed a couple of guides, and I believe the option should be under trusted computing, but all I see is 'no security device found.' I also can't locate the CPU configuration settings in my BIOS. It feels like I'm missing a lot of options in my settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here are my specs: Ryzen 5 7600X, MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi. My BIOS version is E7D75AMS.1I0.

Since you're on Windows 11, your system should have recognized the TPM on your motherboard. However, I'm curious about your exact issue—what error messages are you getting when you try to access it?

I thought the same thing, but when I run 'tpm.msc' on Windows, it says 'compatible TPM cannot be found.' That's what I'm struggling with.

Have you tried enabling the advanced mode in your BIOS? Most settings are hidden in the default view. That might help you find the TPM options you’re looking for.

Yes, I did check advanced mode. I also looked in EZ Mode just to be thorough, and it shows fTPM as enabled there, which adds to my confusion. I wish I could attach a photo!

Have you checked if your BIOS is updated? I couldn't find the 1I0 version on the support site—might be an outdated version. You might want to check for newer versions, especially since the latest ones are beta.

That's my next step! I think the build date was in 2024, but I’m not home to confirm right now.
