Hey folks! I'm gearing up for my next PC upgrade and could use some thoughts. Currently, I've got a Ryzen 5 3600X paired with an RTX 2060 Super, a TUF B450 Pro Gaming motherboard, and 16GB of 3600MHz DDR4 RAM. I initially intended to upgrade both my CPU and RAM, and while I've already picked up 32GB of new RAM, I'm stuck deciding on the CPU. The Ryzen 7 5700X3D seems to be the best option for staying on AM4, but its price has skyrocketed by about 50% here in Brazil since January—it's now almost as much as a Ryzen 5 9600X. So what do you think? Is it worth shelling out for the overpriced 5700X3D and sticking with AM4 for a while longer, or should I just go ahead and switch to AM5 for a newer-generation Ryzen?

AM5 is the way to go! Don't look back. Current deals for the 7800X3D combos are pretty competitive here in the US, so check if those deals translate to Brazil. It's worth it for the upgrade path alone!
I'd recommend the 5700X3D if you're really in a bind, since it’ll provide a significant boost from your 3600. If you already have 3200MHz RAM, you can keep using it for now until you're ready for a full system upgrade. Enjoy the combo till then!
If I were you, I wouldn't be tempted by the 5700X3D at current prices—it's almost double the price of a 5600 and doesn't make sense unless you're gaming at lower resolutions. You might want to stick with your current 2060 Super for now and wait for better pricing on AM5 or just stick with a solid AM4 setup. Good deals can pop up, so keep your eyes peeled!
Just keep in mind how the prices have shot up for the 5700X3D. Not too long ago, you could get it for about $80-100, but now it's jumped to $200-240. If you think that’s worth it, then go for it, but just know it’s not the best value right now!
Honestly, prices for the 5700X3D aren't looking too good anywhere. If you're not finding it close to MSRP, it could be smarter to look at moving to AM5. It'll give you more upgrade options down the line if you can swing it.
I'd definitely say go for AM5. I've had a similar setup, and after switching to a 5800X and then to a 7800X3D, it's a night-and-day difference. You're better off investing in a new motherboard and CPU that will keep you competitive with future upgrades. Don't settle for a stop-gap solution!
You might be overestimating the previous prices! They were never that low, and the rise is more due to the current demand and market hype. Just weigh your options carefully!
